I'm a huge romaboo and frankly, Caesar's rule is peaceful if brutal. Caravans are safe from bandits since the Legion absorbs or exterminates them, and people all have their place as cogs in the machine.
Yeah, shit sucks for most people but it's better than the NCR which is doomed to fail. Obviously there's the problem of Caesar's men following him instead of his ideals but no faction is perfect, which is why the story's so good in the first place.

Never really had a favourite, but one of my recent playthroughs I had a lot of fun setting up an ending in which essentially nothing changed. I helped everyone who was against the Legion, then sided with them in the end. Was one hell of a juggling act keeping everyone from wanting to kill me while I prevented Cesear's sabotage plans, and then also helping all the companions and factions who hated him get their way.
In the end the legion took over, but with all the footholds everyone got it was just trading one caretaker of the dam for another such that they couldn't effectively move forward. Boone's ending was especially nice here in that he basically eradicated any sense of a command structure west of the dam.
I think the only real change was that the Khans left and thrived away from the perpetual stalemate. I suppose that smaller ending is one I always like to go for no matter what I'm doing, and I could call my favourite ending.

I want my character to leave Goodsprings and head straight to the BoS bunker because she's a tech freak and wants to join them. Will this fuck up the storyline? Can I confront Benny in the Tops without following his trail beforehand?
This would be my third playthrough and I'm tired of the first ten hours being the same every time.

I think so. From memory, on my last run (which just happened to be a BoS run) I went from Goodsprings to NCRCF to 188, picked up Veronica, and made a beeline for Hidden Valley. It involves a little creative mountain climbing to avoid being mauled, but it can work.

NCR until the last possible moment (right before Hoover Dam), then switch to Yes Man has always been my favorite route. That way you get the most quests and companions. Also you can stick the finger to Moore and make truces with the Kings, the Khans and BoS. That vile bitch can eat a dick.

I did the same when I killed Vulpes in Nipton and the Legion sent Death Squads after my level 8 ass. I wouldn't have gotten to New Vegas alive without cheating.
