I play Torbjorn every time it's a defense game. For some reason he's really underrated in blogs and with streamers. But I always seem to wreck people with him. I guess it comes down to smart turret placement and learning to aim, because his gun is pretty awkward to use. Also you can armor yourself. He's pretty easy to counter with anyone who has good range, like Widowmaker or Pharah or even Mcree.
Most irritating character is probably Genji. Luckily he got nerfed and is squishy as fuck now, so you actually have to be strategic and can't just charge in hacking at everyone.

I just got a duplicate spray, and was granted a whopping 5 credits. I thought I read that you get face value for each duplicate. Sprays are either 25 or 50c (I forgot to check), making it a fucking 1/10 or 1/5 the value. Better to ult when there's a big fray going on and people are busy focusing on the rest of your team, it'll be either disengage or die for them.

Half the times where I did switch, it's like it got worse. As a tank trying to hold a point or pushing the payload, I'd get very little support - everyone's off running around looking for players to kill. As Mercy, the healee either rushes to their death instead of backing off a bit or they ignore the guy behind or to the side of them trying to kill me.

The huge issue right now is people who are more about "hero mains" then being diverse.
I can understand wanting to play a single class and master it, but in a game with a roster this big (even though some games had bigger rosters) the idea of hard-counters or compositions are important for moderate success.
Of course nothing fucking matters in pugs, but it's annoying to think that you could be the onlycompetentattacking class, and the lack of tank which you would feel obligated to switch to help fill, also means the lack of damage for your "no longer present" performance. It's annoying.
Either find friends to play with, or learn how to play the more diversely playable class who's talents and style of play don't lock him into a specific role.

I feel like Torbjorn is a wasted character slot. Bastion is already a turret that, while super simple, you actually have to aim. I see no point to having him except for people who just played engi in TF2. He's not that good, and for me personally I don't find him fun but I know some people do. Land left click shurikens attack to finish off enemies when they have two pips (dash does 50 damage and it resets after every kill you get, even if you dont kill with the dash). Right click when you get big targets up close but otherwise focus on left click. How good you are as Genji is decided almost solely by how good you are at landing shurikens, so if you spam right click trying to hit Soldiers and Tracers at full health you need more practice.
Then there's deflect, which is a GREAT offensive and defensive tool that can block any projectile including bullets, rockets, and McCree's ult (and Hanzo's/Zarya's if you get to them before they activate the effect). Mastering deflect is the second most important thing as a Genji.

Tanks:

Worse than Reinhardt but still good. Gun tears through lower HP losers like Lucio, tracer, Mercy, etc. Jump is awesome. Ult sucks. Bubble is deceptively shit and is incredibly weak and doesn't block things Reinhardt's shield does. He got nerfed and needs a buff.
>3. Roadhog
Fun but worse than Winston and Reinhardt. More of a tanky offense character than an actual tank. The fact that his health is normal and isn't armor or shields means the the enemy team will be building TONS of ult off of you.

Shit but fun. Needs a buff. No waifu arguments. Her concept is great but it never comes together because she sucks as a take and as a harasser.

You shoot people. Use left click more often then right click. Try to get close range if you have flashbang, mid-range if its on cooldown. That's 75% of McCree.
The only other tricks are with his flashbang and ult. His flashbang can go over Reinhardt's shield so its good if you can safely get close enough. His ult usually sucks so it's best used to scare away snipers or get a guaranteed kill on someone in an open space or if a Reinhardt is guarding you while you charge it.
The ult has other uses though, the more you lock on the more damage you do when you fire. Its not the 0dmg if unlocked / insta-kill if locked people seem to think it is. Sometimes its better to fire early then finish them off with a normal shot than to wait for an instant kill. This goes double for big groups where you could lose a few shots while waiting for some of them to finish locking on.

Any decent player knows to be wary of bastion ult. Its one danger is direct. You can't sneak a fucking tank out on a good team because by the time you get uot, they have a cure for you on their team.
Tor's ult is extremely dangerous because it completely changes his role from one of the weakest characters up close to an absolute nightmare who can auto shotgun any character to death in a couple seconds. It lets him suck players in close then Q to slaughter them for free kills. At the same time, his turret goes from being a tough and dangerous hazard to a nearly indestructible, lightning fast, damage shitting kill bot. By all means, he could easily target and kill someone separate from his turret, giving him two guaranteed kills. That's more scrap, is more armor, is tougher pushes, is more damage he gets to get back to it faster.

You're talking about taking a character with the biggest head hitbox in the game and getting her to challenge something with the highest dps in the game to a dps race.
D.Va does ~168 dps point blank assuming all the pellets hit, melee does 30(I think), and her booster bash does 50 damage. However, Bastion has 100 armor which reduces attacks by 5 damage, unless the attack does less than 10 damage in which case they are only dropped 50%. I'm not sure if D.Va's shots are counted per blast or per pellet but assuming its per pellet bastion effectively has 100 more hp. That means the best way to take care of bastion to use the booster bash melee combo as your first attack which would do 45+25 damage for 70 total damage, leaving bastion with 200 hp and 30 armor. That means D.Va has to do what would normally be 260 hp worth of damage which would take her just over 1.5 seconds.
Meanwhile, Bastion in sentry mode fires about 30 shots per second that do 15 damage each for 450 dps. D.Va's armor drops that to 10 damage per shot meaning Bastion does only 300 dps (not counting headshots) for the first 400 hp, then 450 dps for the last 100. That means it will take bastion 1.3 seconds+0.2 seconds to get through D.Va's health which comes out to... 1.5 seconds.
BEST case scenario for D.Va is that she either wins or loses the mech then hopes that she can finishes bastion off without the suit. However, headshots do double damage which means bastion can kill her in as fast as 0.75 seconds depending on how many headshots he gets. This is ignoring Bastion's teammates, Symmetra's shields, heals, or anything else
Tl;Dr charging Bastion alone as D.Va is suicide at worst and a crapshoot at best.
