Instructions to install on PC
Step 1 Download and and install the Battle.net desktop app, if you haven't already, and launch it.
Step 2 Create a FREE Battle.net account, or log in with an existing account.
Step 3 Click the "Overwatch" icon, located on the left-hand side of the Battle.net desktop app.
Step 4 Select your region from the drop-down menu, then click "Install" to begin the installation process.
Step 5 Once installed, click "Play" to begin!
Beta ends May 9.
Everyone else can fuck off.

This game is unplayable for me now that open beta drew in such a huge crowd.
Every player in the game is complete garbage, and every game is a giant clusterfuck of 4 tracers who watched youtube videos and S:76tards who wants to mlg.
And I don't even mind that. Obviously new players are gonna suck at the game since they're new.
What makes it sickening is the amount of these new players that are calling each other out on how bad they are.
Every single game is filled with hatred and salt towards the enemy team, nothing like I've seen in the closed beta.
I can't wait until release so I can go back to high mmr so I can play with decent people.

I've played both the PS4 and PC versions and they are both acceptable. Obviously PC has the upper-hand with the better controls and the nicer graphics but Overwatch is still very playable on PS4. I have a feeling the playerbase will die out quick on consoles though. And also it's kinda retarded how the PS4 has no text chat option either.

Game is quite fun, graphics are very nice and colorful as well.
For 40 dollars this isn't a bad deal. So far the only things I see that you have to pay for are skins, possibly future character DLC.

I'd try uncapping the fps. Its default capped at your display rate, but it does it wrong. I have a 144fps monitor and it was capping it at 96 or something. After turning it off I get 260+

When did the open beta start? I'm european and played the first day afternoon and most of the matches were pretty balanced. I played it on the second day afternoon and in plenty of matches our team was stuck at the spawn points because the defenders camped right front of it. No matter how many I killed it is like my teammates didn't do anything.

I heard it is silky smooth. I have it on XO probably the best running software on the machine, so there can't be any problems with that.
Digitalfoundry put up a test, both console versions are pretty rock solid 1080p60fps (the engine supposedly downscales the resolution when there is too much going on but they didn't notice). Only negative I read if junkrat ult blows up in a crowd there could be some screen tearing (never noticed honestly). The only thing I saw is on the vitory screen the edge of the characters sometimes seems jaggy.

I've pretty much only been playing s:76 and I've never seen any team that has anything close to what you're talking about. Every team is fairly balanced class wise. Surprisingly fun, but the game CTDs two or three times a match. Sometimes I can play a couple matches and it's fine. It's pretty insulting though to get an error report message for Blizzard, and then the next time I get in game I get told I'm gonna get a penalty for leaving games. Sometimes it lets me rejoin the match, sometimes it doesn't. I don't know what the point of leveling up is anyway so the EXP penalty doesn't matter, unless if that's the only way the game matches players together based on "skill"

As a faggot who basically only played the standard FPS on consoles since ~08 it definitely goes to that fast but can be sped up by DLC coming out soon after launch. That is by far the biggest thing that worries me, for example BF4 and Hardline are on sale for like $10 which would be a steal for the amount of time i can pour into a mindless FPS but with the DLC splitting up the playerbase and the fact that the people who still play those have it all make it a huge no deal, not to mention the hilarious file size on those games with all the updates.

But as one having watched over 200 30-1hr episodes of people playing Minecraft, I really don't see how it could keep me entertained alone. Maybe grabbing achievements, but when I've seen almost everything the game has to offer already I don't see much point in adventuring around a world with no goals and stumbling onto a dungeon with nobody to share the joy with, especially since the 'spoils' don't really help much either.

I know its hard for you to understand things so i'll try my best. The way people play this multiplayer focused game effects me and others. The inability of these players to understand english (BRs playing through proxy is common) hinders things in an obvious manner even you would understand. These players usually lack the sense of responsibility required to afford these games and it shows in their character and their mentality towards the game. They are the first to yell at others for sucking and generally be awful people, especially in competitive settings.
The huge amount of people playing the game also stretches GMs and other administrators thin, making enforcement of rules much harder, not to mention the increase in the communities corruption ratios. Communities matter in a multiplayer game, no matter how you put it or how much you try to project upon me, this fact will never change and F2P communities will never be positive.
TLDR: People interact and influence things that affect other people, some communities are guaranteed to have negative influence and i don't like them.

Several times now I've had Bastion get PotG for killing 2 people in the middle of nowhere while in the same game a Hanzo/Reaper/McCree has dropped 4 enemies on the capture point with their ult, providing more kills and better benefit to our victory.

You need to tie a phone number to your account and then either use an authenticator app on your phone or receive codes via text messages the first three or four times you login. Well the first time I saw her in game and she popped her shield I just kept wailing on it. I didn't really notice a difference when she fired at me afterwards. Then again I was 76 so I could heal myself, but she had a Mercy with her and some other bitch. I guess to her credit she survived longer than the other two but she didn't get anything done neither.
I don't get D.VA. Her mech is really fragile for a tank character and the "defense matrix" doesn't seem to do much.

She's a flanking/harrassing tank, not a straight on eat damage tank. I use her to fuck with snipers and turrets or do backline caps/harrassment so my team can push forward while they fall back(or just capture the point if the opponents don't give a damn.
Her staying power is also really useful on King of the Hill maps where opponents are forced into tight quarters where D.Va can actually do damage.

I don't think the game really gives you enough information about your healer or threats to them. You can see their healthbar but if you're getting shot at from the front you'd just assume it's stray shots. I notice sometimes people will say "behind you!" or whatever, but pretty much every Mercy I kill for instance is dead before the guy she's healing bothers to do something about it.

I don't mean sound noise, but visual noise. The game is too visually busy. There's so many particle effects and UI flashes that I literally cannot figure out what I'm looking at when the action on screen gets hectic. It's almost epilepsy inducing.

Reason Lucio is good is because of his consistency. Mercy actually requires a brain to think about your positioning so you don't get insta sniped or flanked, but with lucio you just turn your healing on and keep moving around, then pop q whenever you feel like it.

>ult on heavy damage or attacking/defending point
>skate up pillars or up walls to avoid enemies

You also have fairly decent damage and mitigation.
