In total played the beta for around 6 hours. I'm already very bored. The maps are amazing to look at, but the actual level design is godawful. Likewise the characters are incredibly limited, and you will quickly realise there are only 4 or so good characters that you will constantly switch between. All the other characters either rely on teammates too much, or are downright useless.
If they add another 15 characters and maybe 10 more maps, it would be possibly worth the price. But as it stands I don't see the playerbase hitting those high numbers after 5 or so months.

TF2 was just something no one played when they got orange box until valve started doing shit for it like payload maps.
