They "story" removed from Second was retarded from the beginning anyway. Even if it was still there they already butchered almost all the asterisk holders from the first game regardless. Kikyo the cold blooded assassin is now a private investigator and Derosa the ringleader of moral corruption who kidnapped and likely raped girls is now some fucking scholar who wants to research powerful renewable energy. Even if I did have to double down on all my choices from the first playthrough to get good ends I wouldn't have bothered anyway because all the stories were dumb and I would've limited myself by not having certain jobs.
The only notable censoring in the game was changing costumes which you could just fix with a patch anyway. The writing was bad from the get-go and actually impacted the gameplay negatively so I have no qualms with them changing it.

Like I said: Freedom Wars, but better. It doesn't have any of the problems Freedom Wars does. Its just more comparable since Freedom Wars had faster paced combat and was made by some of the same people who make God Eater. Plus both take place in fucked up futures. Monster Hunter is very different combat wise; its much slower, and as a result I think its combat is far worse than even Freedom Wars. You're essentially locked into extremely slow combat animations and the game doesn't have a proper lock on mechanic. Emphasis on proper as it does have one, it just doesn't work well and only works on the enemy you're hunting. Freedom Wars improved on these, and God Eater is similar in that sense.

I'm happy too see the waifus are safe but this sort of stuff can usually ruin the tone of a game. Xenosaga was an absolute mess because they removed the blood. Personally hold back my purchase until I see some comparisons or confirmation that the PC version can be fixed.
