Gearbox was paid 60 Million USD to create an Aliens game which would turn out to be Colonial Marines. They used the money to create borderlands and then had a ridiculously small, cheap studio create colonial marines.

Not a fan of the genre, but I have tried plenty of them, I'd dare to say it is way slower, and clunkier.
For example Paladins everyone got the right amount of health, if you assume the big tank guy and the small elf have different health pools you are correct, even Block and Load got that right, in this game it feels everyone got excessive health, so it is about ganking people, real slowly.
Oh and visually it looks like borderlands and generic wow like setting mixed with sci-fi which is stuff they had done in borderlands series before, so it feels like they are using reused assets.

I actually really loved playing the game during beta. Story mode is pretty boring and awful but all the multiplayer stuff is great.
But I won't pay $60 for the f2p experience. What kind of person thinks its okay to sell a game for $60 and then tell the player that they'd better start grinding for more inventory space? After playing the Overwatch beta Battleborn is just so unpolished and ugly in comparison. Not to mention when I played the Battleborn beta I had absolutely no idea what was happening, or what was hurting people. There was just no real indication of attacks or damage. There was this one character El Dragon or whatever, and he was running around doing these animations and it didn't even look like he was hurting anybody but he was.

The game has a singleplayer/coop campaign with 8 missions running about 45minutes each. All those levels need to be designed, same with the bosses and enemies populating them.
3 PvP modes that need to be designed and balanced with more in the works.
25 heroes that need to be differentiated, designed, and balanced.
All the Gear that needs parameters set to not create something overpowered.
Then throw on all the employees' salaries to be payed and all the manpower put into the game.
Maybe it's just me but I feel that paying for a game where I don't have to pay more to get all the characters unlocked or even just for skins is a nice change.

What's his face, the lightning enemy from the campaign missions is a little better because he can see over obsticals and the fist doesn't block your vision unless you're charging up. But at the same time he has the double disadvantage of being melee and being huge so it's almost impossible to get in exp range without being shot dead.
