I just can't enjoy a Pokemon game any more unless it actually has content to it. I think the franchise needs an overhaul.
For example, there's way too many to collect, and it's retarded that every region has kids filling out Pokedexes. You should start the game with an almost complete Pokedex with only a few legendaries missing from it, but then the dex signifies when a Pokemon has been caught. It should also only show male and female variants, not shiny Pokemon (unless you encounter/catch one, then the shiny variant is added).
Also maybe making the game actually 3D might help spice things up a bit.
I just hate the whole Mega Forms shit. It's like they're running out of ideas despite all of the potential that's just sitting there.
Having Pokemon evolve in unique ways would also be nice. Like to get a Dugtrio, you need three Diglets in your party side-by-side and then they become a Dugtrio.
