I was never able to beat one in mh3u. I don't play GS, Hammer or Bow, the best weapons against it. I've killed Amatsu offline in mhx, but I might skip this one, since it's going to take me a butt-clenching 25+ minutes.

Use the ashen hunter garb. It has one of the best resistance in the game. Besides you don't take the frenzy damage mid viseral attack

Crowfeather has the highest frenzy.
But I didn't know you don't take frenzy damage during parry animation, frenzy usually hits after I've done the visceral.
