>mfw remembering that shit tier ending
holy fuck, the writers of that show dropped the ball hard. the fuck didn't they kill off all three of them? it would've been the perfect ending to it all.
>I'll use this move that ensures I kill my target but also kills me
>lol, nvm I survived
years later and I'm still mad
best samurai game coming through
>massive open world
>100s of NPCs
>start the game as any NPC and get a different adventure

The Way of the Samurai games are all great.
Are you a samurai or a ninja /v/?

Yeah, it really was a let down compared to Cowboy Bebop.
I wouldn't have cared if Mugen had lived, or even if they'd kept Fu alive, but Jin's death was just ridiculous.
Worse than that though was that the whole journey was utterly pointless. The Sunflower Samurai didn't mean anything, his "rebellion" was long since over and Fu didn't really get any meaningful closure by meeting him. It was played up through the entire series as being this big thing, a whole organisation to make sure they never met...and it was just nothing.

The show lost all semblance of direction Midway through. Amazing, GOAT tier, then a fucking filler in a 1 season anime, then 2 semi-decent episodes and a shit ending.
>>336353298Given that it takes a lot of influence from most of the games there, you'd be loving the Nioh demo, wouldn't you?

what happened? why did it go to shit? is there some behind-the-scenes drama we don't know about? I was invested in that damn show, until it start to slip towards the end, followed by that awful ending.

>Genji (Only the 1st one)
Nigga, Days of the Blade was the best
why isn't there more shit based on feudal era japan? did the flood of samurai movies in the 60s make japan bored of it or something?

Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!

No Ninja Gaiden Black?
>>336350275
Samurai Shodown 3
Heck all of the Samurai Shodown games but 3 is the best one
>>336353298
>not a single Samurai Shodown game

Does anyone know if the Yakuza spinoffs set in Edo Japan are any good?
>>336353298
I think I'd probably be more of a samurai but it seems like video game ninjas are always so much cooler. You can go ahead and add Metal Gear Rising to that list, since you do play as a cyborg ninja after all.
>>336353391
wasn't that the point of the series?
say what you want about if any of them should have died or not, but I thought the theme was how they Fu wanted to go on "an adventure." I mean it was a bit of an anticlimactic ending to the journey for her but to me that wasn't bothersome because I thought the series was more about their adventure and less about their destination.
>>336351867
If you're playing as Jetstream Sam, maybe. Dude is basically a samurai to Raiden's ninja.
>>336352921
I can kind of forgive them for not having the big bad kill them at the end, but not having jin and mugen duke it out in a final battle? what the FUCK, the whole series was basically leading up to that.
based Michiko & Hatchin is a better anime with a better ending
>>336353391
>Jin's death was just ridiculous
wut he didn't die
>>336350275
Way of the Samurai 2 Finishing Blow difficulty. It makes you feel like you're in a Zatoichi movie
>>336353391
>Worse than that though was that the whole journey was utterly pointless.
And the space cowboys aboard the Bebop weren't pointless wanderings, from one bounty to the next?
this anon said it best >>336355496
the point of the series was the journey, not the destination.
the political intrigue (using a fugitive's daughter to find the fugitive) seems to have also went over your head.
