There are some problems I noticed from some of the footage, namely some framerate, and also pop-in related issues that look similar to what happened with Dragon's Dogma, so I believe it is probably on another iteration of MT Framework, or even the Dragon's Dogma version running on 3ds.

There is no noticeable difference in either of those videos, and even if there were my computer would crash if I tried to emulate anything more complicated than SNES.
I don't see the appeal. It's a franchise whose only virtue is complex hardcore gameplay, I don't give a fuck about the lore.
