Tale of Symphonia is still one of the best Tales of games. Though when I went back and played it. While the story is cute. It is extremely generic and with the advances of Abysses gameplay. Its gameplay is far worse.
Haven't finish Earthbound, ALttP or Resident Evil 2. Left 4 Dead is a game that is surpassed by many other games.
GTA: VC is the best GTA. I hope 6 will be return to form. Or I'll just wait for RDR2. RDR is still the best game Rockstar has ever made desu.
Never played Warioware, Splinter Cell, or Ace Attorney.

Never was a fan of Shenmue, but it looks like you got the PAL version which may improve on the horrible English translations.
Never played Monster Hunter. I have a Wii U and can try out Tri, but I know very little of the games.
I always wanted to try Killer7. It is one of those games I have to play after beating No More Heroes so many years ago, because that used to be my favorite game.
MGS 3 is great, but I still prefer the storyline in MGS 2, but that is just preference. Gameplay wise I like both equally.
Persona 4 is in my 3x3. CANT WAIT FOR P5!
Never played Dragons Dogma, but I heard the lead director is the same man that worked on Devil May Cry 3 and 4. How's the combat and exploration. Is it a poor man's hack n' slash or a poor man's Souls game? Or is it above those?
I want to Emulate Xenoblade Chronicles real bad. I have a Wii and Wii U, but the game costs a fuck ton.

Cave Story: Hope you get the true ending!
MH: Get 4U if you have a 3DS, 3's underwater missions can be a bit bothersome.
Killer7: It's Suda51's best. Nothing by him I played after compared, not even NMH.
DD: The game is a slog for the first hour and the story might as well not be there (but it has some interesting concepts in the end) but that's the best part. There is no story bullshit getting in the way, no characters who impede your progress, it was the first time in years I felt like I was on an honest to god adventure in a video game. The customization is so deep and the possibilities are nearly endless. I got it for $7 during a sale back in 2014, and have played it three times since then. It's that good.
XC: You're in luck! It just came out on the Wii U virtual console for something like $25 I believe. I got my copy for $65 and don't regret it at all. Seriously one of the best JRPGs I've ever played (evidently). It takes away all the annoying mechanics of the genre, and encourages you to explore and experiment since there isn't a big penalty for dying. It's the best!

I wouldn't know. It has cel-shaded graphics, so if you emulated it on Dolphin I think it would be okay. However, the PS2 version of the game (albeit the worse version of the two) is dirt cheap nowadays. I got my copy for something like $10 on Amazon, and it played just fine.

It's a season 3. Season 2 ends on a gigantic cliffhanger.
It was supposed to come out this year, but it's coming out 2017 instead. Definitely watch it! It has that same off but warm feeling DP has, and even with that cliffhanger the series is worth watching. There's a prequel movie too, but watch it after. It spoils who the killer is (which is not the same as in DP, so don't worry about that). I watched the series before there ever being any news of a season 3 and still enjoyed the hell out of it. I think it's still on Netflix, since that's where I watched it.

Serious question: what do you like about Tales of the Abyss?
I mean, I played it and completed it but was so sick of it by the time I was done. It took me like 6 months. I just couldn't stand the melodrama nad all the babbling about some fake science I didn't care about (fonons and hyper resonance or whatever) and the dungeons/world was boring too. When it was over I didn't feel like I bested a grand journey, just like I had finally gotten this game out of my way. Did you play it when you were younger? Was it your first Tales game? Because I played Symphonia and loved it at a young age, but I can't seem to invest myself into Tales games anymore.

I'm not him. I played it 8 years ago and I loved it. The free-roam and FOF were pretty fun. Also, I liked the plot and the characters, sure Luke was annoying at first but it was a huge breath of fresh air to play with a Tales main character who actually had some development, Guy was a bro and Tear and Jade were cool.
In 2008, I marathoned ToP, ToD, ToS, TotA and ToS2. I liked Abyss because it was diferent.
But I can understand your opinion, last Tales I could finish was Graces F 3 years ago. I tried the newer ones and the old ones I haven't played but I found them a fucking drag. I bought Hearts R last week so this will be my last try.

Persona 2 had an interesting story and characters unlike Persona 1.
P3 had a better atmosphere, characters and SLinks than P4. The gameplay of the latter was better though, but still not enough to make me like it. It is a good game (I beat Izanami and all of that), but I didn't really like it.

MGR, and this is coming from the guy that has it on his goddamn 3x3, is probably the weakest of the Platinum games if you DON'T also like Metal Gear. If you do, it's fucking perfect, but, otherwise, you're probably better off starting with DMC. Oh, and give Okami/Viewtiful Joe a go too.

I'm all right at it, but I used savestates at the beginning of the final boss fight. It's pretty difficult, especially at level 5 and 6. I had to use savestates because losing to the final boss sends you all the way back to the beginning of level 6, which is pretty fucking brutal.
If you really suck, you should consider using savestates, or maybe just persevering.
