I just miss when the game was more slow paced. Now its catered to SMG tryhards that cant seem to find the competitive playlist. It's too fast paced and stressful now. Maps are small and circular, there are few choke points meaning they can get behind you from at least 4-8 different ways at any given time.

From the way the one scene of shooting an enemy craft looked, it reminded me exactly of Assault Horizon. Get up close and keep the guy in your crosshairs for a moment, then enter a lock-on Dogfight mode with the guy performing evasive maneuvers as soon as you zoom in right up behind him.
AC:AH wanted the COD audience, and COD is now doing AC: Electrosphere Horizon.
I wouldn't dismiss the chance of it being more than just some on-rails sequence, but it will likely be a short-lived All-Range Mode sort of thing that you get to do only a few times on the way to the next FOLLOW marker.

The campaign looks okay but with every Call of Duty campaign it always has the same bloody feel to it. The maps always feel lifeless and it feels scripted as hell. So I'm not going to get my hopes up and the original Call of Duty 4 had 20 maps and this will only have 10 which is silly and I guarantee the multiplayer won't be on the CoD4 disc.
I don't have high hopes at all but like always I'll check out it when released, I'll buy it if the remake has multiplayer.

I've gotten pretty tired of fps as a whole, but what I'd really like is for Battlefield to release one of their games with a WW2 or maybe even WW1 DLC.

Part of the Brit campaign in COD2 was basically played for laughs when it came to Price and MACGREGOOOR. Even still, it was just Davis, Price and MacGregor most of the time fucking around with big German squads.
But then you also had the African sections which the Brits more or less swept through town and trenches quite easily, and then the tank section where a small group of British tanks took out a good deal of enemy armor and infantry along the way with almost no losses.
The US were still being utterly fucked at places like Point Du Hoc and Hill 400, each time being pushed back with almost everyone dying until air or armor support showed up.
Meanwhile Vassili, Dmitri and a ragtag band of a few other scrappy generic Russians scared off all the Germans in Stalingrad almost entirely by themselves.

Because people expected an amazing next generation video game with insane graphics to justify their $399 PS4 purchase and they got a halfassed last gen port. Apparently multiplayer wasn't very good either, it didn't follow the standard COD formula of running around in a tiny map with a silenced SMG and instead had huge shapeless maps with long sight lines designed for ARs.

Out of everything that has ever been called a meme, this actually is one. It seems that there is only hate because of a certain audience that plays them, and let's get real, everybody plays these. Every kind of person.

There is literally no reason to hate these games other than memes. Prove me wrong. These games are definitely enjoyable with friends and the online is always perfection, meaning it always works perfectly. You can get in a game super quick.
