I think there are several things when it comes to getting good at pinball
Ruleset and table layout knowledge
Ball control knowing where you need the ball to roll on flippers and what angle the ball will fly at so you can make shots easier
you can easily find tutorials for specific tables online
which helps alot in learing specific machines in depth
you can find videos with techniques for ball control moving a ball between flippers, but mostly ball control is something that requires practice, and digital doesn't really cut it for
but as you play more on specific machines and get skilled you'l start seeing ways to manipulate the ball in ways to make shots the designers probably didn't intend to happen
also enjoy it for fun, don't compare yourself with pros i the beginning your motivation should be seeing your average/high score on a specific machine go up as you practice
if you want to learn some table layouts and rules go look up PAPApinball on youtube they have some pretty comprehensive gameplay tutorial videos going over the rule sets and tricks done by a winner of the largest annual pinball tournament
