I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the problem isn't that they went sci-fi and future, the problem is that they didn't go far enough off the rails.
Instead of this gritty, angular, trendy future style they went with, they should have gone full Gerry-Anderson, Dan Dare style future. Form-fitting space suits, death rays, atomic rockets. The style is so unused nowadays they could have carved out a niche and plonked their style of shooting into it, and not suffered from being compared to HALO and Titanfall.

I would consider that it was my connection but this game is known to be buggy, Treyarch has a history of shitty online, other people have made similar complaints, and I have no issue on other games while browsing the web, while I wouldn't dare do while playing BO3.
As for guns I don't mean the visuals, performance is similar enough that people did call the guns by BO2 names e.g calling the vesper the skorpion.
I wasn't complaining about the presence of movement system as much as its implementation. Wall-running is situational and the only thing interesting about it is chaining jumps. AW's abilities felt more useful in combat and the lack of stamina bars made it feel faster. The stomp was cool too. The difference between BO3 and AW feels like kids at the jungle gym vs jets, BO3 feels like a hodgepodge of ways to move and AW feels more aggressive.
TTK is more of a weapon balance issue desu.

Exo suits were really wonky in AW. They didn't know how to handle advanced movement. Blops 3 handled it much better and it was smoother and allowed for faster, more fluid motion. But will Ghosts 2 (I mean INFINITE WARS) have jetpacks? From the trailer, it doesn't look like it. It looks like typical boots on the ground modern warfare, which seems to be what normies want.
