F-zero GX mission 3. Mission 1 anybody can do, mission 2's not bad once you know not to spam boost right away, but mission 3's the equivalent of an Expert or so race at a time when you've probably only done Novice/Standard grand prix. Once you know how to actually play it's not bad though

It barely escaped the curse of NES era games.
I remember reading up an interview about it once, how as they kept playing the game to test it they get super good at it and they find it easier and easier. It often ended in adding more and more difficulty to it.That was part of the charm, though.
