No, it's very hard, but I really wanted to, pirated the three games and only this year bought 1, I actually can't look at certain things. The biggest issue is that I'd need three hands to do it properly, so I had to learn tricks to use auto locking to control the camera.
I also usually pick things to let me fast roll so I can spam space bar when in panic then heal up. Currently using havel, carthus milk ring, silver serpent and swapping speckleds as needed. Just want to find FaP.

If he just disappeared from your current viewpoint you already know he isn't in front of you, that means he's in the back. Turn your camera around and dodge accordingly, even if you don't manage to complete a full turn before he fires, it should at least rule out enough possible directions where he might have teleported into.Good luck.
