Why is Space Hulk so badly optimized? Game doesn't even have video options besides some filters and bloom.

max game size tends to be around 650 points. 2v2s I've seen 330 as the highest I've been assigned, so I'd assume 660 vs 660.

When you have 300-310 to work with, you can bring two cruisers, a BC and a CL, or one BB and maybe an escort. Battleships are pretty hard to destroy, have long ranged weapons, and some of them have crazy sight range.
