No, I host melee tournaments so I stream them.
That one is not good for commentators though, it picks up everything.

>recorded footage and voicework on my phone and barely edited the thing
>lots of people like it
>cant think of a name

>have no ideas for videos
>my cat constantly meows and i yell at it to shut up at the top of my lungs because its annoying as fuck so i wont be able to record

such is life.

I have a Snowball but I hardly consider it a professional mic. It's my Discord/ingame mic. It's only really for the convenience and the fact that it picks me up no matter where I am. Also it was cheap.

If you want something good don't go USB.

That shit's the worst.

Why not combine them

Make Let's Plays where you're yelling at your pet the entire time

Yeah, we should all be like you, grandpa, using tin cans and strings for communication and cranking our record player if you want to hear some swell ol showtunes from the golden days of RAY-DE-OH

>spending an exorbitant amount of money (more than a few bucks) on something as simple as a fucking microphone

Who the fuck are you kidding? You're not Howard Stern. Just buy a regular ass microphone. I bet your dumb ass sits in a DXRicer chair, too.
>>
>he has a lets play channel

Just fucking stop. Honestly, please, for the love of god just fucking stop. Get a job or something. If you had a job, you wouldn't have enough time to do videos that require more than 5 minutes of effort.
>>
>>336152382
Let's play videos take more than five minutes to create? You're doing it wrong.

>Synchronize audio and video
>Trim endings, add pre-rendered intro and outro
>Render

They're the easiest videos to make with little to no effort. And that's why YouTube is flooded with them and you'll never be able to compete with the established channels.

To be fair, not all yelling is the same.

My cats have often start meowing or howling when they get back inside when it's quiet and they can't find anyone. Yelling something tells them I'm here and calms them back down.
>>
>>336153693
>having pets at all
I grew up around animals, but I haven't had any in years and it's wonderful.
>>
>>336154224
To be quite and totally honest, family, just get a dog whenever it dies/runs away.

I've had literally zero problems with my pup and he never makes a noise unless someone knocks at the door. You can train a dog to be however you want, as long as you condition them.

Sorry you fell for the cat meme, friend.

>sorry I fell for the cat meme

My mom did. We have 10.
>>
>Shill my channel on /v/

Sometimes I wish the highlight of the video was the game or my humour, but I'll take what I can get.

>My mom did. We have 10.

I'm so sorry to hear that, anon. I'm a dog person through and through, but I understand people that get like one or two cat because they want a low maintenance relationship, but what compels someone to get 10? Does she run a foster/half-way house?

I can't even imagine the smell, though I've been to houses with 7-9 dogs and it's not so bad. Then again they go outside.

Can anyone answer this question?

Whats a cheap, cost effective Mic great for commentators during a streaming event? One that wont pick up every inch of background noise or overlap with another commentator if theres two sitting next to each other?
>>
>>336154997
Are your parents divorced?
>>
tfw I use my cellphone's microphone using an app that outputs through the audio jack
>>
>>336155429
>Then again they go outside

So do cats. I don't see the problem. Owner of a cat, two dogs and a parrot here.
>>
>>336155429
I've seen houses with 7+ cats and it's usually not as bad as the same number of dogs so long as they have a way to get outside to do their business.

It must smell like hell if they have to use litterboxes though, you can't clean it often enough with that number so the smell is always going to be there.
>>
>>336155738
Most cat owners I've talked with own a cat because they live in an apartment or dorm situation, which means they can't allow them outside. Plus they're usually people with attachment issues so they won't let their cats see anything outside their small 1B1b.

If you live on a farm or ranch-style suburban home, a cat can freely tour the yard without running away, which is really how you should own any pet.
>>
>>336156269
I live in a packed suburban neighborhood and still let my cats outside. Granted, no one living here minds, as even those that don't own cats here sets out food for them.

I think with my current cat I could take him outside even if I lived in an apartment, because he follows me around everywhere.
>>
What's a good mic to start off with? Was probably thinking of fucking around with the sound recording and voice overs.
