Everything that made WoW into a compelling experience on a social level had been destroyed by the end of Wrath, altough the decline started much earlier. Adding farmville minigames wasn't really what I wanted from a WoW expansion either.

True, the social aspect of wow got butchered with the introduction of cross realm LFG in wotlk, but content wise MoP was really good.
I actually like the pristine realm idea if it'll have enough support from the community, but it needs to be a really high population realm for it to make sense.
One of the reasons we got all the cross realm bullshit is because blizzard didn't have any idea how to deal with dead and heavily unbalanced servers.

From TBC to Wotlk the patch lengths were pretty similar. Obviously TBC wins but MoP is 2nd in terms of content. It's not some steady decline from Blizzard. The last patches obviously last way too long but I don't think they'll ever solve this problem.
