Not just the PS2, the PStripple and PSP also had some pretty damn weird ads. This aired on national fucking television years ago.

Sony has a history of doing artsy, strange ads, like the Bravia bouncing balls ad, and I kind of respect them for trying something surreal and different for awhile, but it's still baffling why they would promote videogames like that for so long.

I never got the Sony Bravia ads.
I know they showed a wide variety of colorful things to show how good the colors looked on the Bravia TVs, but if you were watching it on a regular TV you wouldn't be able to appreciate it, and if you can appreciate it it's because you already have a Sony Bravia and you don't need the commercial

Launch-season Playstation adverts have always been weird and edgy as hell. PS4 are the most tame by far, and even they were still a little odd.
