honestly I agree
For a ten dollar indie game I enjoyed it a lot. The gameplay was interesting, some character were genuinely charming, the writing made me chuckle occasionally even outright laughing at one or two jokes, and goddamn the music was fucking awesome.
It has issues like some jokes being driven into the ground, see Alphys for a good example. Or how a neutral run is basically pointless since you get the same content you normally would get by doing a pacifist run as well as the true pacifist content. Genocide run as well as hard mode was a let down, both could've used a lot more content. Minor issues also existed like no sprint function in a game that rewards backtracking, a barely hidden item that can give you infinite money and healing items, inconsistent art quality, and too many tracks that are just remixed versions of the main theme (despite the fact that I enjoy that choice, it was just done for WAY too many tracks).
Easily one of the best games I played last year. It's really easy to overlook issues considering its price too.

It's a mediocre RPG with very little replay value after the first 5-7 hours or so.
That being said,It's good for a $10 indie game. And it has a bitchin' soundtrack.
If anything Omega Flowey and Asriel have one of the best music of all time and all dem choreography or dunno what would be the best word to describe it

it's a good game, worth playing twice - pacifist then genocide
combat mechanics are an interesting novelty i'd like to see used in other games, mostly the 'act' function
the soundtrack is really good and compensates for the writing during 'emotional' moments
the writing is almost outrageously saccharine; if you're starved for love and affection, this game may make you cry despite itself
on the flipside, the genocide route has a surprisingly grim tone and completes the experience on a second playthrough
although if you've played spec ops: the line, you may have trouble playing without hearing captain walkers in the back of your mind, madly screaming 'KILL IS FUCKING CONFIRMED' - it evokes those same feelings of raw, murderous intent, but explores them in a more personal way, without the frenzy and insanity (undertale repeatedly and directly addresses the player, while in spec ops the hapless victims only look your way accusingly from time to time. i like spec ops more F.Y.I)
anyway like i said, it's a good game, there aren't that many like it right now so it's currently the king of its own little hill for the time being, but chances are another, better game will come along soon enough to take over as the best game for pussies there is
