I can't wait for it to come out, but I have this weird feeling that it's going to be really well made and fun right up until the end where we're shot right into the ending which is just the begininning mission with one extra cutscene and there's no chapter 3 because Konami fucked over Kojima and he ends up leaving.

He asked for another year for development and Konami said no. Kojima was like "then I walk" and Konami called his bluff. They finished up what they had and terminated his contract.

This makes me wonder. Did he know that it would be disappointing and unfinished from the beginning? Maybe he knew his vision could never be completed so he built the game around that feeling.

I was fine with pre-ordering and buying the game. I've only done that with 3 games. The game we got was adequate, in my opinion.
It's just you can see where it could be the greatest game of all time. It's like 1 year of dev time, a new area, 15 minutes of cutscenes and a couple bossfights shy of that mark.
I happily put 160 hours in it but it still hurts at night.

It's all Kojimas fault though. The autistic spastic fuck likes to constantly reiterate on things that already have a solid ground, because his OCD gets triggered whenever he reviews a scene or a gameplay portion, so he has to go back and rewrite dialogue and recorde it again with motion actors and voice actors, animators and coders have to constantly redo shit and that is why his games take that long to be developed.
Konami said no becuase they simply did not had the fucking money lol and Kojima knows this, that's why hes just making indie games now.
Honestly making a game like TPP isn't even that expensive, its the dialogue, art, copyright and constant reiteration that made it expensive, just look at Dark Souls 3, mostly reused assets, like 100 lines of dialogue and voiced lines, and still was able to deliver one of the most solid gameplay experiences while providing a pretty interesting story and intersting enough narrative.
