I genuinely don't understand the appeal. Lolis/schoolgirls with guns? It's a humorous conflict between cute girls doing cute things and serious operators operating shit. Monster girls? mix between an alien, misunderstood and in very low demand homely girl with, well, sex. But girls with ships? I guess there's the overused ballistics joke, but I don't see much else.
