I've never played DS3, but I have the other two and your opinions on this matter are absolute shit. Dead Space is nothing like Doom 3 and it's only like FEAR in that it has slow motion combat.
It plays much more like RE4 if anything. Also it has a great atmosphere, creative enemies that are both disgusting and awesome, and a pretty good story

I played Dead Space when I was home sick from work one day, bought it and had plans for super comfy game day (plus butt spurts) and I just wasn't into it.
After a long time playing a certain type of game, I like interacting with the environment and seeing things move around. It was kind of like 'walk over here, shoot that thing, walk over here..'. I may be wrong but from my initial impression Dead Space wasn't scary enough or interesting enough.

Anon, in DS3 you're supposed to make your own guns, if you only had an assault rifle and a shotgun you only have yourself to blame. I had some sort of electric/energy gun that bounced to multiple targets, it was pretty fun.

It's a shame, but it was just dull. If I get bored fighting a gigantic pit thing then it's a bad sign. The thing is that it ain't good as a shooter and it isn't even remotely scary unless it's your first "scary" game or anything. Now that I think about it it's probably an entry level videogame for the genre.

I thought the enemies were freaky as hell in these games
After I killed them I coudn't help but keep on stomping on their nasty corpses like "DIE DIE DIE YOU DISGUSTING FUCKING FREAK"
some parts were genuinely tense too, particularly on your first playthrough if you put it on hard. Not knowing how the enemies attack and their weaknesses really does a lot to make the game scarier

Not only did it introduce a new dimension of killing stuff via dismemberment, as opposed to the headshot-encouraging gameplay of other shooters, the shooting is quite enjoyable, with limbs easily flying off and making delectable noises.
>Bad atmosphere
How can you even say this? You're stuck on an isolated ship and as you progress through the game you get to see the intricacies of the entire ship, be it the botanical gardens, medical quarters or engineering bay. Even if that didn't appeal to you, the game tried its best to set up an eerie atmosphere by littering the place with corpses, blood and other assorted items.

Maybe that's just personal preference, but you can't honestly say that you found the regenerating necromorph to be a boring enemy.

That's to add to the "bad atmosphere", and to both (possibly) foreshadow Isaac's dementia and to make the player feel even more creeped out.
The game isn't perfect, and it sure had a really fucking disappointing final boss, but holy fucking shit do you have an atrocious opinion. It's almost as if you're just shitting on the game just to be contrarian, but all you come off as is pedantic.
