Maybe not, we're only 4 months in. It's definitely gonna be one of my personal top 10 of this year though. It's been a long time since I had a lot of fun with a game like this. No rage, no boring bits, just a bunch of fun. It's up there with Superstar Ultra.

It's not "Nova", it's Star Dream. It's a different Clockwork Star than the one we see in SS.
HWC is (at least, it was) capable of straight up producing Clockwork Stars, though the one they made requires quite a bit of organic material to fulfill a wish (Nova required the power of the Fountains of Dreams)
So yeah.
Kirby is getting a fuck ton of lore with this game.

The build up of lore is starting to seem like it could lead up to something big. We already got multiple connections to RtDL, SS, 64, and DL3 from Planet Robobot alone.Lor Starcutter, Pix/Rock Star/Sand Canyon, Clockwork Stars, and the Dark Matter Swordsman are pretty huge connections.
DM especially, since it hints that 0 isn't gone.
