I have the asian version and I tried playing it on my US PSN.
Turns out I can't obtain the free DLC of Barbatos gundam so I had to make an asian account to get it. I assume future free DLC will only be available on the asian account so if you play on the US account only, you'll face the problem where you'll miss out on free DLC suits.

Doesn't the Barbatos DLC just unlock the parts early? You should still be able to get them without it. That's how it worked with the DLC freebies in the first two games at least.
