I noticed a lot of people are having problem with this boss. It's not that hard, all u gotta do is hug it. Keep hugging it and just roll when it attacks, it's attacks are easy to read. And when it gets it's bow out, get behind it and if its the arrows that follow u just start running around the room, if its the other arrow shit, u can get ez dmg cuz it wont hit u cuz u are behind it. I've helped about a dozen people beat Aldrich. The arrow rain is easy to avoid, you just run in a wide loop and make your way back to him. The arrows follow slightly behind you, so if you make a big enough loop you'll get back to him as the arrows are ending and you can proceed to wail on him.

Everyone has different troubles with different things. Everyone told me Dancer was hard as fuck but I did her on my first try. Same with Dragonslayer Armour. Aldrich I did on my second go but I figured his patterns out really quickly. However I fucking struggled on bosses most people call easy like Champ, Oceiros and Lothric and Lorian. Probably died about 10+ times on each one.

Best strategy I found is to run in the opposite direction the arrows are coming from in the first stage while in second run to the side of them, keep moving and they can't hit you all that much.

Just ignore the whole gwyndolin portion of him and attack the long poop snake behind him. Like go extremely ham on it. He will either teleport or do some shitty AoE which is super easy to see coming. When he goes fire he doesn't even get any extra abilities to reach behind him. The only issue is arrow rain but you just zig zag. The arrow rain gets fast if you let it go in a straight line but if you zig zag it slows way down.
Once you figure out how to deal with the rain he's a joke.

Heysel is causing me grief. I need help. I'm running NG+ to get all emotes, and I'm failing to summon yellowfinger Heysel in farron's keep.
He invaded me and I killed him, but I can't give any pale tongue to Rosaria. I gave her 100 tongues on my NG and now she refuses any other one I give her. I even tried to respec to consume some of my tongues but it doesn't do anything and now I can't summon Heysel to get his gesture.

I tried parrying and sometimes it went well, but eventually it was like she learned to punish it and started doing charged strong attacks. My health was way too low to risk that considering how much time it took to kill her. Besides, strong attacks did almost as much damage as the ripostes anyway.
Also stun lock was out of the question, the only weapon I had that did adequate damage was deep battle axe, thanks to my shit str and dex. If I went further than 2 R1 she would backstep and do a stab attack, and it did way less damage than a strong attack anyway.
I took him out first try by just running after him, spamming estus and flailing on his ass at every possible moment. Had problems with certain other bosses, but this guy was a complete bitch.

Holy fuck that's what I was doing yesterday as well. I even did it outside the plant pots wearing the purple black ninja outfit. Only one guy found me right away. I've had about 5 people black crystal out, and I caught an equal amount with a surprise ass raping.
I also with the obscuring ring equiped parked down in that room with the two gaping dragon dogs, which were still alive at the time. Then I equiped way of the blue, popped an ember and used dried fingers. Alt+tab and came back 3 hours later to find half a million souls on me. No one bothered looking in the wolf room.

100 - 120 seems to be the norm. At this point I'm around 130 and still see plenty of signs on NG+. Gonna continue leveling so I can wear fancy armor, but once I'm done with this cycle I'm starting over with a low level character.

I'm doing my first playthrough, just entered the archives. Sl around 85. I supposed I'm overlevelled because I cleared out the whole locations in order not to miss everything. Still missed a lot, lol.
As an advice to the new players here, use the best weapons there are. Like Darksword. They are fast and deal huge damage for such speed. They will make a game much easier allowing you to learn to roll, parry, time your strikes and still make mistakes. Being overlevelled a bit also helps. Do not listen to git guds just get a hang of it, finish the game first time than choose another class/weapon and use the skills you've gained during your dark sword phase.

On the PC version, or as I've taken to calling it, the PC Disaster Race, you can alter the code used for inflicting damage on enemy players to also give them millions of souls per hit. I hate enemies that do that, I just can't ever be sure when I can heal or not, it makes the fight stretch alot longer until I know 100% I can heal. Even then I am prone to misjudging and making a costly mistake that forces me to roll like a bitch for another 5 minutes until I get a new chance.
It's mostly the presentation. It's a really impressive bossfight visually. It's just really not fun to fight since the camera is all over the place and the fog messes with your sense of direction and distance and disorients you. Sometimes he looks like he's very far and suddently he's up in your face. It's all very frustrating because a better game mechanically would make this bossfight very simple and easy, but this bossfights stretches the mechanics to their limits and really highlights the engine flaws like the camera and lockon system. A similiar fight in Dragon's Dogma wouldn't be nearly as painful.

That build actually looks fun. Get all the other stats and leave damage to the fire enchant. Vanilla BB is more difficult at the start when you're on low HP, I read a ton of cucks never even got to Gascognie.

The PVE game of Dank Souls 3 is horrible towards slow weapons. Fast bosses like Dancer, Nameless, Gundyr pt 2 and Sullyvhan will shit torrents unto slow weapon using players. You literally cannot get a swing off before their weapon is inches from your head.
Fast weapons are king in 3 and when you pair that up with the relatively good damage of straight swords, you end up with the shit fest we have now. Nothing is broken per say, but it is an unintended flaw of the game design from making everything have infinite stamina and fast hits.
