Dragon Quest XI, like VIII and IX before it, will be a far better ratio of profit. When SquareEnix actually markets a DQ game at the same level as a FF game in the west, and it sells worse, then you can make that claim. But its never happened yet.

Tifa and Celes are about the only girls I like in the FF series. And even those two girls depend on a man for their entire emotional support and drive to live. For all the revolutionary change people claim the FF series has, they seem to be really short on strong women. And no, I don't mean 'Lightning Strong'.
And even then, Dragon Quest took the concept behind Rosa/Celes/Tifa and did it better with Medea.

And evenagrees to marry a spoiled prince to give the hero a reason to give up.In most games, that would make a girl seem annoying and cliche.
