Ciaran was most likely the body behind Artoria's true grave in Darkroot, where you found her ring in DS1. Darkroot was eventually in danger of being overtaken by the Abyss, which inspired Farron's Undead Legion to fight it and take control of the area. They most likely moved Artoria's grave to the Untended Graves, since Dickwraiths, Ghrus, and Abyss fucking shits were moving in, and they didn't want Arty's grave corrupted.

Anybody else thinking Wolnir somehow was an Undead who couldn't go hollow.
The only reason why I think this is important is because it gives closure to Dark Souls 2 and its DLC where you basically can't go Hollow and must spend eternity looking for some sort of cure to the curse/cycle.
Let's say Wolnir was HYPOTHETICALLY like character form Dark Souls 2. He killed a bunch of important people and got their power. Then with the help of his newly crafted crown he can't go Hollow and eventually falls into the Abyss and somehow turns into a giant sentient skeleton. I know it's vague, but there's definitely something there that we're missing. Why? Because we never got proper closure to what happens if you neither link the fire nor become the darklord, as the Lost Crowns DLC implied. I guess my interpretation is that while "The Abyss" and "The Dark" are essentially just extensions of the influence of The Dark Soul, The Deep is a coming age of oceans and warped life. Abyssal shit only becomes warped with outside corrupting influences like buttmad Manus or power hungry Kings, but I think The Deep is naturally an all-consuming influence.
Remember that the Cathedral of the Deep was originally meant to seal away the age of Deep Seas and keep the magic and being trapped, but their own influence corrupted everyone there to be agents of the Deep instead.

Most of Nito's soul went to keeping death chugging along, most of the Witch's soul went to creating chaos and demons, and Manus' soul was offered in tiny pieces as Humanity at bonfires. Chaos is fire from an "artificial" flame, it's not the source of life and fire. Although it is implied that Fire is just as artificial, though much more stable than presumably the Chaos flame of Izalith or the Profaned Flame of the Profaned Capital. All we know about Deep mechanically is that it works off the same stat as Dark, but it's clearly not the same thing for narrative purposes. But the implication from Corvus is that it's all artificial anyway, which begs a ton of fucking questions.

It seems to either be the 5 most powerful souls currently in existence or people who have linked the flame.
The flame linking one is kind of weird since Lothric not linking the flame is the entire story of the game. I think it's just the biggest souls since the Abyss Walkers is just one soul constantly jumping from body to body fighting its abyss-infected friends, meaning that it'd likely be growing constantly and I can't see any of the Abyss Watchers having linked the flame
So do we know what the fuck is up with the Undead becoming colossal, wood-like angels circling the archives? It took me a while to realize that the tree-like undead on High Wall eventually became the horrific angel-like creatures.
