my friend who had a Genesis and a Master System had a PC in their business office and one day when they were gone he was hey man come here and he booted up Doom for me. This was in 1993 right after it came out. It was the first time I'd seen an fps and on a "'modern" PC. I was totally fucking floored and even got to play a bit.
It wasn't until Doom32 for the 32X that I got to play the whole game myself. It justified the purchase of the 32X for me because a PC was still like $2000 back then and I was like 7.
