"save" is a subjective term, you know. Sure, a series may be kept alive due to embracing waifusim, but who is it saved for? The fans who loved the series beforehand or new people who will get into the series because of waifus?

I really wish that Awakening didn't go the waifubait route. Genealogy had romance as a major gameplay mechanic, but it didn't feel like waifubait in the slightest.
