I was hyped as shit for it, watched my brother play the closed beta, and lost all interest. It tries to be TF2 with game changing retard reward buttons instead of having to learn to use dozens of weapon mixmatch options over more than enough class options. The skill ceiling is pretty much gone and it objectively won't take a decent player more than a couple of hours to master the game's mechanics and controls.
I love the artstyle and porn though, but I can't see how this can be worth my money anymore when TF2 manages to simply be superior (and whether you hate it or love it doesn't change that fact). Blizzard also lost most of my respect over the last few years; I used to defend them and their games but I can't see why anymore.

The stock/default/starting weapons are still the best options in almost every situation, minus a handful of melee weapons. Practically every single other choice is heavily gimmicky.
Also, in the last year or so they've been rebalancing the game on and off, trying things out before comp lands. I can't actually think of a weapon that can't be countered today, and if you disagree, I'm sorry to say but you just don't know how to play the game.

I've played it. It's just TF2: Blizzard edition. Perfectly serviceable, less than $60 class-based FPS. It won't change the gaming world or anything, but it's cheap and fast and fun and pretty (the graphics themselves are atrocious but the art style hides it well). It's hard to fuck up when you throw as much money as Blizzard can at an IP.
Then again they did manage to completely rape Diablo. So I guess Overwatch just got lucky.

Yeah, Zen is a glass canon who can push tank's shit in if he gets protection. If you're playing with a friend go Zenyatta and Reinhardt and you can become damn-near unstoppable.
Mercy is more of an attacking med while Lucio is better at point defense, you can just wall run around and be annoying as hell while giving passive heals.
However in comp you're seeing a lot of Mercy AND Lucio for the speed boost and heals., which makes an offensive team very hard to kill.
I got in the closed beta and mostly played support and I have to say it's been the most fun I've had in a while. You're also forgetting Symmetra who gives everyone +25 shields, which acts as recharging health and her teleporter can win or lose games.
