Are there any games that have a "future knight" aesthetic like Destiny does? I really dig it.
Ideally in that same first-person vein but anything works really.
Warhammer 40k sort of has that with space marines but it's a little less elegant.

Some of the armour in Destiny is fucking great. It's a shame I can't be arsed to play it enough to have a complete good set of armour as my highest level gear.

I might have actually played the game back when it was released if I could've unlocked everything at once for a reasonable price instead of the zillion micro-transactions. Too late for that I guess.

I played through it last year for the first time. I had fun, don't expect to understand the story though. I struggled a bit at first but once you figure out how stuff works you'll be god-mode in no time.

I tried a mod that supposedly fixes the text. It's not really worth it though. It removes all the memes!

If you can run HL2 you can run E.Y.E. basically. It's the same engine and IIRC the requirements are very similar.

Morrowind is really calculator tier these days so it's not a very good benchmark. E.Y.E. is definitely more demanding. Pirate it and see for yourself I guess. There might even be a demo.

I finished the game once, and got to the middle of the first mission on a second playthrough

If you managed to finish the game once you should be good. It doesn't get any harder. Just remember to only level up your legs from then on.
