Actually, most of that is already happened in the industry, which is why it has gone to shit. Pushing for video games to be accepted by the masses opened the gates for everyone, including sjws, casuals, addicts, and people who don't even play games but get appealed to anyway. Mainstream killed video games. It was better off as that cool thing boys and tomboys played with.
Nintendo went from easily one of the best video game companies, to on par with EA after the gamecube.
