I would say SART blows the entire Mario Kart series about of the water with the exception of 8 just cause 8 is pretty damn good, but the fact that this series was able to come out of nowhere and do that shows that Nintendo needs to step their game up.
We're on our 8th Mario Kart game and boosts still don't stack on top of each other. This is probably the defining thing about SART, honestly. There's a huge element about unleashing your charged up drift on a boost pad or using it when you have an item.

there was an exploit for this. on ps3 and vita (ive tested it on these, maybe all console versions werent patched), if you do samba studios mirror mode on expert and beat the ghost, the game says you beat every ghost on expert. i tried to do it on pc to get all the achievements but apparently the pc one was patched so it doesnt work.
anyway fa m just do samba studios expert mirror and you should get the platinum.

Yes, the Game is much faster, and more fun,not to mention, SEGA actually took the time to balance their items.
Now, i would mention 200cc, but it's not all that pretty either, You are literally forced to either purposely slow down your car (Which isn't very effective anyway), or play a game of "Red light, Green light" with the brake button.

Not to mention I loathe the Gravity Mechanic in Mario Kart 8. It's so meaningless and boring. All it does is make the track look more interesting and give you small boosts here and there.
