2.0 was a game where you were waiting for the next cool thing and you were surprised at what it was because it was new to you
now that 3.0 is out, all the content is iteration of the 2.0 stuff and suddenly everyone is surprised that they're bored. the cool new factor is gone because at this point if they add any new modes or systems they will not have enough people spread across all these instances and systems to populate them like frontline and gold saucer.
but people expect new systems like these in 3.0 because that's what they've been fed in 2.0 so its the catch 22 of a theme park mmo.

Every 3 months, with big updates (better than GW2 updates and more consistent than WoW updates). There has been two delays, like we waited 5 months for the first major patch after the expansion.

13 bucks a month. There are two mounts in the cashshop. But the best mounts are for free, although it requires a bit of work to get them.
The shop has a lot of vanity gear, but most of it was free in-game for a limited time. There are far more gear in-game in every patch than the ones that gets added in the cash shop. Unlike other MMOs, the best cool looking gear isn't cash shop exclusive.

They do because there is a mindset divide between the east and west regarding exclusion.
In east, exclusion is a public affair. In west, exclusion is personal affair, handled between groups of people. Producer cannot understand why west don't use PF, doesn't grasp that west use linkshell with all of world's top tier player on it and if not in linkshell then player excluded by default. JP players work to foster a community and teach each other, presumably the average player should be better because of this. The flipside is that you'll notice that NA tends to clear most content faster. This is because the best NA players tend to devote more resources into themselves. As an Asian immigrant, I have grown up in both cultures and the West for better and worse is very centred around the individual, so the best NA players are probably better than the best JP, but the worst NA players will mindlessly fail content never being properly taught what they're meant to be doing.
This kind of divide is pretty evident in a lot of fields like education of business.

Find a shit FC or a shit static that will not clear content on content. Do everything with them, get very involved with whatever it is they are doing, because they know people and you don't and they're shit and you don't want to be shit forever. They're called a stepping-stone group. You use them to get your name out there, get parses on lock and when you inevitably don't beat the 3rd boss of the turn and the nice-but-too-nice raid leader goes, "Aw shucks guys, we'll get the next one." You've already built up a list of who the fuck is who on the server and they have seen your name at least once.
Then when you're done with these failures, you wait until the next raiding patch drops and you excuse yourself respectfully, kindfully, and in such a manner that they are happy for you that you are leaving them behind, and you get into a decent group. Now in this decent group, you've got about a 30% chance that you're actually going to beat the final boss of the tier on content, but that's okay, because you're now surrounded by even better people who, in turn, are friends or acquaintances with the excellent players on the server.
In that group you need to be the best player in the fucking group by a thousand miles. These guys, however, will be a lot harder to be better than, because they're you're 50 to 60%ers. You need to be laying down consistent 85th percentile parses and starting to manage successful week one farm parties of new extreme primals, because that is the ONLY time anyone from the upper crust is ever going to touch PF for anything for the next 6 months.
If you've done everything correctly, you'll be on a short list of people called to action to do things or be a replacement for elite level groups who need shit now, tonight, and they need you to not fuck it up. When you get this call, this is your job interview, don't blow it.

After the success of Au Ra, they're never going to add a bestial race or any race that isn't just "humans, but with x".
