So, I was wondering why the last two SFV updates have been like 5.5 GB each. I decided to take a look at SFV's total filesize and its 7735MB total, which I imagine is what a 5.5GB download would be when its finished decompressing.

Is capcom making us redownload the entire game every month instead of just releasing patches?

Either way, these fucking update sizes suck ass for someone like me that has a data cap.
I only get 100GB a month and I need to waste 5-6GB on a new character and stage.
Most of my steam games aren't even 5GB in total, so it feels like a massive waste

Its more an issue with unreal engine cant just patch parts of files need to redownload the whole thing so even if they only add 800MB or something its still altering 5gb's of files which need to be totally replaced.

Seems like it.
Pretty impressed by how much Capcom has fucked up with SFV. Do DirectInput sticks work yet?
>>
>>335877014
it's called modified binaries

you can't just swap out the tiny bits you have to swap out huge bits

Just use Xpadder for DI peripherals.

I know there's a workaround but I shouldn't need to use a workaround. I don't need to do that for any other fighting game I own, even USF4 works with DI naturally.

Because it's Unreal Engine. The same shit happened with UE3 games where every patch, the whole fucking game would download again.

Go to bed, Jim.

Well, that's all you have right now so either do it or quit about your stick not working.

Data caps are pretty much only a thing in Canada and Australia, its not their fault they get jewed hard.
