Deus Ex HR is alright, but much like the original the gameplay is shit. Slow FPS psuedo-realistic crap. You know the type.
The level design and dialogue are still there. The dialogue focus can wear on you in repeat playthroughs. Complexity is a pretty big step down from the original as well.
Bloodborne I had much more fun with. Swap out dialogue for gameplay and there's your tradeoff.
Both good games, personally I recommend BB.

New boss fights are just as shit, so the takeaway is negative.
Piss filter actually makes sense, since it's only activated upon walking into sarif HQ after the prologue - it's not on in the prologue as Jensen deosn't have his superslick augmented sunglasses yet.
directors cut also re-adds a bunch of bugs that were fixed in the original version (as it was forked off for porting as the Wii-U version then ported back over to PC...)

Both are great games and I adore them. If you played DaS3 recently, I'd go with Deus Ex, just so you don't get Souls burnout.
