MCC just had 1080p/60FPS for Halo 3 and 4 with a few slight changes to lighting effects. It still looks like a 2007 game that just runs a lot better than it used to. Unlike Halo CEA and Halo 2A which had all textures and models completely rebuilt from scratch (or in CEA's case, ported from Halo Reach) to make them look more modern.

I never got to play ODST or Halo 3 since I never owned at 360. Got an XO and just started playing MCC to find out what I missed.

Significantly. Prepare for probably the ugliest looking potato-faced NPCs since Metal Gear Solid. At least Halo 4 still looks great. As much as I, and 90% of Halo fans dislike Halo 4, you can't deny that graphically it's very impressive. Even the original release on 360 in 2012 was very pretty.

I hope it's at least a reasonable price. Would be pretty fucked up if Microsoft charge $60 for Halo 3A when that was the same price they charged for Halo CEA, 2A, 3 and 4. Even if it included the entire original Halo 3 MP remastered.
Gears of War Ultimate Edition was a very fair price. So I hope that a standalone H3A is similar.

Pretty silly for both these statements to be in the same sentence. Halo 2A MP is only reminiscent of Halo 2 MP in it's maps, weapons and dual wielding. The way I'd describe Halo 2A MP to someone is "Like Halo 4 MP except actually good."

No official word but I'd be surprised if it didn't happen. Both MS and Sony have a raging hard on for remastered games despite the Xbone having "backwards compatibility" (A 360 emulator that needs improvement) now.

Halo 3A is next year
Halo 6 is 2018, as usual with the three year gap between games
Personally I think it would be better if they made Halo 3 from Arbiters point of view, with a little prologue showing everyons reaction to him arriving with Johnson and Miranda and making it to Captain King's drop point at the beginning of 3 and an epilogue with him and R'tas mopping up leftover brutes after 3

They'll just do what they did for H2A. They just did a re-skin of the H2 campaign completely, but remade the actual multiplayer with a modded H4 engine. So I'd imagine H3 campaign would get a re-skin but the multiplayer would be a modded H4/5 engine.
