Great game, greatstory, too much dependence on luck to get the card you want. Too much grinding skill points to finally equip them once you have them.

All I remember was some tech I discovered where if you had Emerl's ultimate upper attack, had full special meter, and they didn't have guard on shot, you could get free instant KOs by spamming it because I guess the tornado (that Emerl shoots while doing the upper) counted as a shot and you wouldn't lose your meter.

Sonic had a similar move. His wave attack turns him into a ball, and if you connect with the ball, it didn't count as the projectile. Unblockable finisher, and I relied on it heavily for that damn final boss fight.

I remember some character seeming weak and useless until you realize you can just camp in the air and apply the lamest cheese to all of their fights. I think it was Rouge, but it's been too long.

There's a point where you just have to use spam different specials, because it'll auto-block any use of the other Special otherwise.

Rouge's Eagle Kick is pretty good at that,
Emerl's ultimate combo cards are ORA ORA ORA incarnate,
Cream is pretty damn handy with Cheese and heals stupid well.
I wish I got to fight my friends in it. The battles were surprisingly fun. I used Shadow a lot in the multiplayer mode thing.
Played the shit out of it as a kid and i remember the final battle being hype as fuck for the bgm and the overpowered emerl

Story mode ranged from piss easy to recovery mode hard. But I enjoyed it and would like to see a sequel with a lot of improvements. I wouldn't mind seeing a Ultimate Ninja Storm style Sonic fighting game though.

I remember having Emerl's Ultimate chase attack where he'd do the triple air kick, I equipped a lot of Amy's normals because they were pretty fast, Shadow's specials, and E102s stance so I can get the cheap self destruct after death.
Who else was a faggot and had a sonic oc and made Emerl the color of their Sonic OC and set up his fighting style accordingly.

I was so lucky to get the Ultimate Heal skill within like a half hour of my first play through. I lost my save and tried replaying it, but without that card it's just so much more tedious. I couldn't do it.
