Are remakes a good way to bring older entries of a series back to the forefront, updated to fix what went wrong in the first place, or are they just lazy cash grabs.
It depends on how many years have passed, and how much is being updated.

Soul Hackers is a good remake.
Especially because it got localized to the west.
I fully agree in having more remakes like it, if it also works as an oportunity to bring more games which are/were in a similar situation.
Taking an already existing game and cramming new features into it is not a remake.
The Twin Snakes is a remake.
Resident Evil for the Gamecube (and now everything else) is a remake.
