I like the direction of the art-style, but fuck those colors man.
They all just blend together into a big fucking mush.
Needs some colors that pop, and accentuate the foreground and characters from the background.
I just started playing yesterday and so far I love it.
I've only done the north dungeon. What order should I do them in? I was thinking counter clockwise since I hear east is the hardest.

east north west south but going north is fine. east is the easiest actually. you cant do south until you've done the other 3 and west is definitely harder than the other 2.

Seriously, a game like this has no place running at 30fps. There's also a ton of camera jitter. Fuck that; just play DS3
My main issue with it was the secrets. I love the sense of discovery that usually comes with finding hidden areas and items, but this game went overboard. Nearly every room had secrets within secrets, and some were mandatory to progress. They weren't rewarding enough either. 1/12 of an upgrade? Really? It should've been 1/3 a piece. Or better yet, have it be like a metroid game with the upgrades themselves hidden off the beaten path.

yeah the secrets were sometimes too inconspicuous. i didn't personally have much of an issue with the 1/12th of an upgrade personally. i'm on the final boss and i've gotten all the upgrades i want plus a grenade and i still have like four? or maybe five fully completed gold squares i can use to get upgrades if want

Increased dodge, the charge hit and the one that reflects bullets when you hit them.

It's bad. But it's okay if you find it fun.People who like things like Hyper Light Drifter are legitimately worse than Call of Duty players. They support the same kind of bad practices and creatively bankrupt design but people who like things like HLD are extremely pretentious as they aren't "mainstream."

Grenades are not very good.
Get the dash attack, or the one which blocks one bullet when you dodge, If you already have the ones i mentioned.
Good luck figuring out when, why and how the bullet block works, it just does, sometimes. Saved my life a few times

I agree, it's a shit game, especially for indie standards. It doesn't do the "game is bad/disappointing" in a tasteful way, it's just an excuse for laziness.
