currently playing my first playthrough of vtmb and i'm loving it.
i think i'm almost done with the third area so i haven't played through it yet but it's very good so far. interesting characters, interesting setting, dialogue is cool and so on.
haven't noticed anything really wrong with the game except one part where i had to swim and got instantly killed because i couldn't swim against the stream and got caught in some sort of cog or something

Wow, why does a game from 2004 released on a beta version of source not hold up to modern titles? Hmm. That said, for it's time VtMB actually looks pretty decent because of the good artstyle. So fuck you, get some taste.
Also it's not about combat, aside from a very few sections you never even have to use guns. And the gunfighting wasn't even that bad, why is this something to complain about anyways it's such a minor part of the game outside of the warrens and the last 30 minutes.

Hey, I'm not the kind of guy that says the visual aspect of a game doesn't matter. But what matters is the design and that aspect is great and helps establish the mood.

Not the guy who posted it, but looks good to me. Only bad thing I can spot is the curtain textures are so high res that them being a flat texture is kinda noticable, but who cares, games 12 years old.
It's source engine so it has such a clean look to it, textures are very crisp, no shitty filters over everything. Honestly modern day graphics are pretty overrated, they just chuck on so many post processing and after effects and it gets in the way of just having really good textures.
