I can only speak for Arcana and Blazblue, both are great games, with AH3LM being one of my favorite fighters. Problem is, Arcana is dead online and there's a good chance you'll have to join a group and ask someone for matches. Maybe the sale will reinvigorate it, but I'm not sure.
If I were to pick a 3rd just from looks, it'd be Rabi-Ribi due to me liking bunny girls and the game getting a lot of good reviews.

The stage sections are pretty simple in concept. Memorising enemy spawn positions like other bullet hells. Bosses are a different story since they're pretty much dynamic. Memorising patters and know how each attack works helps. In the end though you'll pretty much be reacting.
Use weapons that work well for you or work well on the stage you're on. Since you unlock weapons simply by playing it won't take too long to unlock all of them. Do note that using the big ass sword, zapper I think it was called, negates achievements IIRC.
Also, even if it seems like a bad idea, never stop dashing unless you absolutely have to stop, like when dealing with ballistics, missiles or attacks you can't dash through.

That's not what Disgaea is. Disgaea is a game about grinding and numbers getting insanely big. The only remotely tactical thing about it is the geo panels which barely come up outside of the item world and aren't very fleshed out in the first game anyway.

They updated it just recently which supposedly fixes more text corruption and localization issues. As long as you're using the community patch and don't mind the 30fps which will probably never get changed, the only real problem is that there are some missing/wrong voice overs. But given how vague the patch notes are, that may or may not have been fixed yesterday. for 10 steam bux its not bad I guess.
