I know, I know, get a job and all that shit, but that doesn't excuse retail games' ludicrous prices, plus adding to the fact that it has extra downloadable content that amps that price even more. Purchasing a console is already a heinous task for people who can barely afford for better jobs and all they want is to spend a afternoon trying to take away all their stress by playing some vidya, not shilling out absurd amounts of money for a CD that doesn't have all of its contents or has them locked and resort to work their ass to get their hard-worked money just to get a measly pile of DLC. And most people don't even bother with paid DLC, since they already spent so fucking much on one game unless they're that much of a fan and just resort to the idea of having a freaking game with locked content even though they paid 60$+ for it.
Nintendo was the only one who at least tried to remove themselves from that DLC thought until they went total jews too.

And all that because they devoted themselves into "HD development", aka, the big meaningful graphical leap that makes so many people whimper at it. I know Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger cost something like $70 to $90 bucks where you went. We had a number of "systems" that never went anywhere, tho I did like the idea of the 3DO at the time. Today's gamer should thank Microsoft for plug and play, I remember it took my Dad and I something like 3 hours to get a soundcard in and working.
