I didn't play at all in February and March, my rank reset all the way to 25.
I made an Aggro Shaman deck sans 4 cards from the new Expansion the day before, added in the 7/7 for 4+2 time 2 and keep changing up the other 2, both spells. Currently replaced them with Flametongues, going good, debating adding 1 AoE over the Worgen infiltrator just cause some boards get annoying as fuck.

Even at just 5 minutes a game that's almost 10 straight hours of playing. Pretty tough to back that up without some pics m8

Shaman does seem pretty crazy with all the evolution midrangey nonsense going on, but I've been completely steamrolling with a Whispers-heavy zoo lock. Then Kripp made a variant of it and posted the decklist so by now I reckon a bunch of shitters are all running the same deck as him and making Zoo lock look bad.

I've played HEX and Spellweaver and both of them are good MTG clones, although I played HEX a long time ago and it was pretty unpolished and lacked a way to farm free in game money, don't know if that has been fixed yet.
I play spellweaver from time to time and they practically throw cards and money at your face, it's pretty good for f2p, someone that has recently played HEX can say how good it's in the f2p department?

I've only used my free ticket so far and I got BTFO (Went 1-3) so I may be biased against it, but I can't see any clear victor between it and a regular draft. It's probably nice for people with less free time though.

>>335815737
>>335816446
Hex has polished up significantly, and there are now a couple of free ways to farm gold even though the campaign feels cheaply made.
>>
>>335815737
It depends on you. each one of those games have something good and something ugly like any other game but something is sure right now, they are better than HS.

Hex: basically a MTG clone with a few interesting concepts that can only be done in a digital space. for example Vennen is a fun race that makes viable to play a mill strategy. the ide is to fill the oponent deck with 1/1 spiders and then start to mill the deck (or if the player draws or discard a egg) to find those spiders and put them into play.

Spellweeabo: is more close to HS but in a good way. you still have a 60 minimum deck filled with "shrines", and when you have a shire you can use one to "level up" your hero so he can use creatures and powers or you can turn the shrine into mana and also giving you a draw. so getting mana screw'd is something really difficult to happen.

Rs Chronicles: is more close to a board game rather than a mage Vs Mage type of game. a game endures only 5 turns but in each one of those turns you can play up to 4 cards. the idea is to use the cards either could be to set up a trap against your rival or to prepare yourself for the final encounter at final of turn 5.
>>
>>335813642

Hi it's me >>335816395

I checked, you only need to play 60 games with 100% win ratio . So I guess you played 61-65 games to legend and then 46-50 games at legend.

Nice try buddy.

Check Mabinogi Duels, for Android. It's a TCG, you can trade cards and sell them on a market board.

The game is great too. There are far less RNG than other card games, because you don't draw, your hand is your deck, so you can always start with the strategy you like.
>>
>>335816797
the only thing that I didn't find pleasant at all is how the card pool is made mostly with commons and uncommons plus whatever you find in the 2 required packs to play.
i think is kinda a good way to build a collection but no way you will get anything worthwhile if isn't drafting. still 500Ps the entrance ticket or 2 packs + 100Ps sounds like factible and easy to build for newbies.

you can play the PvE campain (only one chapter so far but I found it fun so far) and with whatever you get from it start to farm gold in the Arena. the G -> P conversion rate is about ~145 per plat. that's about a whole run in the arena for 100 plats or more.

also pretty much all the commons and some uncommons are for dirt cheap in the Auction house, just don't try to find any rare/mythic by cheap there boy.

well as a Co-op game we have Lord of the Rings LCG that focuses in all the players do what's best to beat the quest that they got into. there's also the option to play it as single but you'll not pass from the first scenario.

Doomtown reloaded is a chunky game but really tense that focuses on area control and character movement rather than combat (there's combat but that could end really bad for you as you could easily obliterate your oponent).

Then a Game of Thrones if your idea of fun is to destroy all your friendships in one single sit. slow game where backstabbing and "prepared" loses are part of the core of the game.

TLDR; f2p its about $1/hour + expected value of packs

Roughly speaking you can grind about 75c to $1 in bought currency per hour. Using pic related (relatively cheap deck only rares necessary are quash so 4 rares 8 uncommon rest common), I can get an arena clear in about 25-30 minutes which gives 6k gold. Bit hard to judge worth as hex has a player economy so pack costs and gold -> platinum (bought currency) fluctuate but packs ($2 in platinum) are roughly 19k-22k.

The auction house makes judging hex's model kinda difficult though. Anecdotal example: I grinded for a pack and got eye of creation about a week before set 4 came out. I sold it for ~1000p. When set 4 came out I bought 5 packs and got an alternate art card the day the new set came out and managed to sell it for 2400p. I bought 10 more packs and proc'ed a primal pack (when buying off in game store rather than play auction house there is roughly 2% chance to get one) which has 13 rares and 2 mythics. Obviously this is a super exceptional example but ~2 hours of play time translated into $40 worth of cards.

So to judge the f2p model need to account for how much packs are worth at a given time on player market, how many decent to garbage rares there are in a set (set 3 packs are worth a little less due to the power level being lower for example), and a ton of luck. In above example had 3 instances of good luck (mythic, AA, primal) but pulling a vampire king (mythic ~$30-$40 card) out of a pack would be roughly the same value.

YOU DISGUSTING AND LUCKY SON OF A DINGLER.

but yeah, Hex is far more complex since it creates a player economy where you can find everything (even even exclusive sleeves) in game by playing either in gold or in plat.

Hex is super weird clearly it has obsessive whales (chest AAs for previous sets have dropped below price of non AA versions a lot of the time) and what is essentially gambling. Spinning chests is basically a slot machine; costs 10c to $2.50 in gold and most of the time you get nothing but occasionally get a nice payout. Game is fun beyond the market oddities tho

Yu-Gi-Oh is much better than HS. The Pokemon TCG is not even really a card game.

A crazy good hand; in PvE cleric class gets the constants on the right (divine alter) which says whenever you play a cleric or blessing copy it. So the 6 sight of the suns (clerics) came from playing two "real" versions which were each copied twice from the divine alters.

Is hearthstone worth playing?
I recently upgraded my phone for the first time ever, and I don't have much interest in mobile games, but if I were to play one, hearthstone seems like the one to try.

Unless I'm underestimating the mobile market and their actually a bunch of really good games, I don't know.
>>
>>335828278

It's free so go for it.

I used to love some mobile games, but I lost all my shit in all of them after my phone broke and it turned out that they all have terrible customer support.

There's a runescape classic server you can find for android that's fun, though.
>>
>>335827886

It would be a little bit rough if Cthun wasn't a gimme, but you can make some pretty goddamn good Cthun decks with a stack of commons/rares and no adventures.

>>335828278

I've been playing Hearthstone since the closed beta, and before this hit I probably would've said it's not worth playing unless you wanted to buy some packs to get started. Currently though you can get 13 boosters of the latest set relatively quickly and a cool legendary, and standard format means you don't have to deal with buying almost mandatory Naxxramas adventure cards and GvG shit.

It's probably the easiest starting point to get in to the game since launch. You'll probably still get pissed off is someone rolls you with a fancy deck, but there are definitely some cheap viable decks at the moment.

Coyotle combo exceedingly well with the 100+ card deck triggers. Having 4 divine alters in deck, making 4 blessings per charge power and having 4 of pic related (changes with date http://hex.tcgbrowser.com/#!/cards/search=zodiac+blessing) is silly fun. Admittedly deck would probably be more consistent with normal 60 card deck but its kinda neat having big variety of cards seen each game. Vennen probably get the best overall campaign cards though; can make an excellent arena deck with nazack lookout and phenteo's gift with equipment.

There are other searches like top X cards of deck but those are mostly only in blue like peek top X based on blue threshold or PvE dream eagle discard for top 4. Otherwise there is Starsphere (resource with look at random card in deck do you want it on top yes/no) and infernal professor (random card -2 cost hurt you every turn its in your hand) for random cards out of deck.
