>tfw have multiple games that aren't finished but don't feel like playing any of them
How do y'all deal with this shit?
>>335735506
Who's this qt?
>>335735506
You either pick one and just roll with it, or wait to get an urge years later.
I'm actually thinking of setting up a schedule to finish up all the old games I didn't finish, since the hard part for me is figuring out how test compatibility with some of these really old games. Once I start playing I know I'll have a blast, but the hard part is getting the ball rolling.

Konosuba
I watch anime/movies or read books instead
Sometimes I pick up a random game from my huge backlog and play for half an hour but I always get the feeling that games are for retarded children and I wonder how I could have spent so much time on them, then quit. And the cycle repeats
>>335735764
>Wait for game to become interesting to me again
>Can't remember what I was doing or what the story was
>Start game over
>Get bored/tired of game at roughly the same point where I stopped last time
Someone make the suffering end
man up, finish one, then jump onto the next one.
After thats done you just buy that hot new game you been wanting to play for a whileonly to drop it 2 weeks after and fall into the loop again
>Tfw have multiple games to play but don't really get anywhere in them because I'm busy filling out job application after job application that no one ever accepts
>>335736043
Well I think in that scenario you never really liked the game to start with. It's not worth the effort to play a game you don't like.
The exception are games like Deus Ex where you have to get past the dull opening for the game to become amazing, in which case you need to toughen up and get through it to get to the part where you're hooked.

> wouldn't be so hard to find a job if u didn't spend most of yet time playing silly games anon
> you are too inexperienced for this job, maybe get some job experience before applying for new jobs?
>>335735980
Anime is for mature adults though!
>>335736767
Anime episodes are around 23 minutes long, so they end before I get tired of watching them.

> you are too inexperienced for this job, maybe get some job experience before applying for new jobs?
I'm really enjoying playing multiple games right now, Shadow Warrior for single player fun, SFV for multiplayer and Crypt of the Necrodancer for mindless fun.
At the rate I'm going with playing KOTOR I might be done with it this time next year.
>>335735506
Play good games and not play for the sake of killing boredom.
>hacked 3ds after years of ignoring the system since XY release
>unlimited 3ds games to play
>got hooked to stella glow and finished it in 2 weeks
>no game on the library looks as enjoyable
>have huge backlog
>continue to buy games
>never end up playing any

>watch any anime series
>just drop it halfway or 3/4 through and never feel like going back
>play any game
>do the same thing

Rush the main story if I really want to get it over with

VLR and Ghost Trick aren't hard to knock out. VLR's flowchart means a lot less repetition compared to 999. I beat Ghost Trick today and I can't see anyone taking too long on it. It's linear with easy as hell puzzles.
I sub to game rental services and use redbox for brand new AAA games. The more games on your hand, pirated or otherwise, the less value each one holds and none of them become appealing to you. I realized this about a decade ago, when I had downloaded way too many movies/anime. Now I'm pretty happy with whatever I got, which is technically none at all.
>>335735506
Pick a game I enjoy
There's no reason to feel obligated to finish a game you don't like
Try genres you don't normally play, I got real hooked on rhythm games recently
Same.
The only way I can fix it is with an external backlog tracking service. I haven't watched anime in a few months but it's working for me.
>>335736951
Litterally what they tell you
>multiple games that I have fun with and haven't finished
>want to try and beat the Ni-Oh demo
>multiple real life problems I need to sort sooner rather than later
>decide to spend my free time bashing my head against the brick wall of a game I'm shit at and not enjoying instead
I don't know why I'm even doing this.
don't finish them.
>>335736701
translation: I don't like your face.
>>335735506
I'm at a point where I literally have to force myself every day to start a game or anime.
then, when I'm finally at it I greatly enjoy the stuff I play/watch and hate myself for not starting earlier.
It's pretty weird.
I don't.
I buy figs.

I don't play them. Easy peasy.
That being said, I usually finish games that I like, and I don't play more than two different games at any one time.
