I thought it was a fine game. A lot more fast paced and chaotic than Team Fortress 2, but solid nonetheless. My only gripe is, given the inevitable comparisons to TF2, Overwatch seems much less strategic. You don't have the whole rock/paper/scissors dynamic of needing any specific character to really counter another. For example, there is no spy-like unit to take out turrets. Without the spy-like unit, you don't need the pyro-like unit to check them. You don't have snipers to counter act other snipers, etc.

tf2 had a better community before it went f2p. It also didn't have assfuck distracting hats ruining the aesthetic of the game. I know f2p is nice because you get to try it out without paying anything but paying for the game upfront has merits.
The only issue I've seen is that the maps are cluttered with bullshit little details and lighting/color that makes it hard to distinguish the characters and mostly-see-through lighting effects.
They really should be leaning more on the design basis they got from TF2, in a team based shooter you need quick visual identification, especially since this is easily faster.
Other than that, it looks fun and I'm looking forward to playing it. I'd kinda be interested in 4 on 4 maps or more gamemode diversity than we've been seeing.

The maps aren't terrible, but I find that they are far too big. You don't have an engineer class to set up a teleporter at the beginning of the game, and there is no ammo, so unlike TF2, you're really not setting up a forward base, which is a damn shame.
Personally, I didn't have any issue identifying the characters from afar. They are pretty vastly different, so even without the design basis of TF2, they are pretty easily distinguishable, especially if you watch their attacks.

I'm excited for another good class-based multiplayer shooter that people will actually play. I've been wanting another one since Valve ruined TF2 with F2P. I doubt I'll like it more than pre-hats TF2 (not saying cosmetics ruined the game, it just happened to be a bout the time Valve prioritized making money with cosmetics over making a fun game) but it should be a lot of fun.

It is actually far more tactical than TF2 both in the class design and game mode balance. You don't have the rock paper scissors setup where each class has a direct counter but rather a whole lineup of characters who are better or worse against eachother but not a hard counter. What makes this crazy is that because you don't have hard counters you can always find a way to turn the tide in your favor either by using the map, playing off your team, or just gitting gud.
Game mode wise each round is balanced on a knifes edge and one mistake is enough to lose you the round. It does feel a little bit closer to something like Dota where if you go into a fight 3v6 you have zero chance to win as compared to a CS game where 2v4 is easily doable. Losing a single fight as the defender means you can lose half the map and sometimes even losing a single player who over-extended is enough to lose you a fight.

i enjoyed it more than OW.I was hoping people would not die so fast in OW but they do. makes the whole "team" aspect lesser to me.

nothing. at first I just assumed /v/ was right but then I got invited to the beta and it was really fun. Plus i was able to get the origin edition for $40
