Everyone who would have registered for ultra overlaps with the sf5 pool + some new players who think they have a chance now because its a fresh game.

94 had set teams, you couldn't 'edit' them. 95 got rid of this and you could mix and match characters from different teams, that's the only change.

Every KOF game ever is about teams. The very early games, you couldn't even pick your characters. If you wanted Kyo, you'd have to pick team Japan, thus getting you Benimaru and Daimon too.

The complaint about learning characters is retarded anyway. Characters in KoF are very simple and the majority of elements are universal across the cast.
It isn't like SF4 where every character has their own little gimmicks and most of the depth in the game is locked within characters. A person who knows KoF can pick up a character very easily, which is why most good KoF players can play most or all of the cast, something that is virtually impossible in a SF game.

No. All of the pre-release love KOFXIV is getting is because retards who drop games after two weeks didn't like that SFV doesn't have an Arcade mode, which developed into them thinking the game has a bad system, when it has the most balanced and varied system since SFIII, though with Different mechanics.
I'm sure KOFXIV will be a good game but it is going to die very quickly while SFV slowly begins to attain the numbers it should have as it adds more characters and features.

A lot of people take offense to the HD system, not realizing that using HD is extremely expensive, even if you know what you're doing, and you'll be spending all your resources to erase one enemy character at best, going up against another with none in exchange.
It's also not as 'honest' as old KOF, because in 13, you can actually link many light attacks into heavies and specials, whereas in the older games, you do any kind of actual combo that matters, you gotta start with a close heavy, or an air attack.
I personally think it's the best KOF of all time, but not everybody agrees.
