The battle system is basically about as good as I expected a mobile game to be (Tap for your basic attack, hold for your stronger charge attack), but what I don't understand is why you can't battle wild Pokemon? That's basically all this game is missing, and it's baffling why they would restrict the gameplay so much when they're essentially removing half the point of the game? Like, honestly, anyone who expected this to operate like a full fledged Pokemon game is a fool. The groundwork for the game, how levels and evolving work, combat, etc. It's all better than I imagined, but I just can't get over how they would butcher the catching experience by removing Wild Pokemon battling?

Very disappointed in the combat. Why couldn't the combat just be like the games or something similar? It's not exactly hard to do on a phone. So much potential for this game but it's looking so boring now.

I was expecting the travel feature to look like that, but I expected the UI etc to be a bit more toned up and expressive, aswell as the pokemon battles just being pokemon battles. I don't see why they have to be this weird shit mobile version of a pokemon battle.
